A Quest for Peace

Reciting a fairy-tale as his mother’s eyes wept
Breathing were characters as people lay dead
To child who earned his dreams as he slept
He was cradled on her lap, life is better in his head
In his mind, there is shade and in it the all the sadness fled
Every flip of page to an unknown turned
Without a word a world worth was said
Without a word, many silences returned
There is nothing to say, no one left to hear
The sounds of destruction is so loud
Fear falls silent, and silent falls a tear
The Sun is also scared to cross this dark cloud
In search of peace, they went to war
While peace takes its last breath from shores afar.
