Dear Santa- from Saumyaa Sarup

Dear Santa- from Saumyaa Sarup

Dear Santa,

I hope you and all of your elf friends at the North Pole are well. How’s Rudolf? I bet he and his red nose are beaming with excitement as Christmas is just round the corner!

This is my letter to you. This time, instead of demanding for a bunch of things that I’m probably going to outgrow, I want to do MY part in helping the society. This letter will include all my wishes and hopes for the welfare of the needy, and I’m really counting on you for a little help! Life as such is challenging and humans have made it much more complicated because life has fallen into classes and categories where the rich are getting richer and the poor are dying for food. It is heart wrenching to see this
situation and not doing anything to make it better. So this year, why not make the poor feel special? Why not give them a chance to feel happy? Let’s put our hands together and spread the spirit of Christmas in our hearts by making those who are helpless, smile. A blanket, a sweater or any kind of financial relief will do! Visiting an old age home or an orphanage would be a nice way of spreading Christmas cheer. This year let’s all step up and bring a big smile on their faces and let’s make them feel special and valued. Dear Santa, I’ll need a touch of your magic and a little help from the elves to bring about this change in the people, the society, and the world.

I hope this letter reaches you, and if it does, do send me a pinch of your pixie dust to sprinkle on me so that I gain the courage to take up to this noble cause.

Oh and say a Hello to Mrs. Claus from my side!
Love,
Saumyaa
