Masai Mara

The land of Masai, Savannah of boundless plain
Slow and unhurried, here life’s on a different plane.

It’s kingdom of predator, as much as of prey,
Survival of the fittest, Oh Run, Hide or Pray.

The wildebeests follow blindly, wisdom of the herd
Marvel at Nature’s Wonder, of scale we’ve never heard.

Victory, Sorrow, Loss, All in a stride you must bear
Away my baby wandered, mourns Mama Bear.

Her ferocious feline prowl, she’s hunter of her Pride
A Queen in all her glory, bow to the jungle’s pride.

Mr. Lion eyes Miss Deer, but she has feet of spring
He’ll woo her to the summer and feast before it’s spring.

And then a Hippo strolled by, as if to wave a Hi
Am I out of my senses, is it real or am I high!

The Jungle has it’s rhythm, a wild song I do hear
No Past, know no future, life is now and here.

Masai Mara is known for its large population of lions,  leopards,  elephants,  wild buffaloes and rhinos. It’s also known for Great Migration of zebra, wildebeest and gazelles in millions towards Serengeti (Tanzania) and back in search of food.
