Know the writer
1. When did you start writing and what inspired you to write?
I began writing at the age of 10, which began as a simple exercise for participating in state competitive exams. As the days passed, my ‘what ifs’ to every exercise sparked a little challenge to branch off a hobby, and a potential career option.
2. Which books influenced much of your writing?
Erle Stanley Gardner, Matthew Reilly, Michael Crichton and many upcoming secret authors on Reddit NoSleep are my main inspiration for my stories.
3. What do you think about Penmancy?
Penmancy is a wonderful platform, where the admins make efforts for the members to better their skills. It takes the meaning of ‘writing platform’ very seriously and focuses on the mission of writing, rather than straying away with whimsical jokes and fading away with negligent false promises. This platform keeps getting better and exciting and will go a long way.
4. Which Penmancy writers you like and why?
My favourites are Beryl Zephyr, Kajal Kapur, Sparsh Verma and Rham Dhel. These writers explore new plot ideas and branch off from the mainstream ideas that are over explored with great aplomb and surreal grace.
5. What advice you can give to fellow beginning writers in the community?
The one advice that I can give the beginner writers is, do not give up. No matter how bad it is, write that first story. Take that first step, jump off that first cliff, climb that first mountain and if you love the view, your journey will definitely be worth it!
