I look at tangerine streaks adorning the sky
Sun’s wobbly strides on the horizon
A tale of love, so incredible
unfolding amidst the fading, glistening lights.
Tangerine streaks are no more noticeable
The evening sky now alters colors
Soon, darkness is augmented with twinkling stars
Swaggering and romping near and far.
I hear her whisper sweet nothings
resuscitating the dying embers
Twilight is ignited with passion
Breeze is soft and tender, yet makes the night quaver.
Sunlight is long ago drowned in dark silhouettes
But has it really gone and left?
Look around and see for yourself
It’s light, its presence in that shining moon!
