Bug me not, talk to me
Listen; learn what I seek.
We are one entity,
Life partners now are we,
Fight not, it’s destiny.
Bug me not, talk to me
Let’s handle this deftly.
Dance with me, sing with joy;
I will hear when you speak,
Let’s this journey enjoy!
Bug me not, talk to me
Sans you, life is pointless.
With you beside, I thrive;
Why so silent? Pl talk
Make me laugh and alive!
Bug me not, talk to me
We maybe poles apart,
But we have miles to go;
Differences are good,
Let’s not a good life throw!

Life is never single dimensional as we all know,
We have to experience happiness and heartache for us to live and grow.’
These lines, written by Vaishali in her poem, “Beautiful Life” defines her oeuvre. She
believes in living each moment and savouring every aspect that life has to offer. She realised
early on that life is not just a bed of roses but it has its shares of thorns too. Her writing-short
stories and poems, reflect this very reality.
A graduate of English literature and an alumna of IIMC (Journalism) she has also worked as
an educator and moulded young minds to fight injustice and live with honour. As a journalist,
she covered human interest stories, which helped her develop her writing and observation
skills. A prolific writer, she has been a recipient of many awards and certificates for her
stories and poems. Her debut book of poems, “Whispers of Immortality” published in July,
2022 has garnered rave reviews by poetry lovers.
A freelance editor, she has compiled and edited six anthologies and is currently working on
her seventh.
