She looked down on the waves crashing
Teetered on the edge of the cliff
Dilemma flashed as she absorbed
Her surroundings one final time

Caught betwixt devil and deep sea
Her time here was up she could see

The ultimate journey beckoned
She jumped to the cascading waves
Feeling betrayed by human folk
The world smashed in her percipience

Will she find calmness in the sea?
Time tells they say. I don’t agree.
