Conversation With the Future Self

Conversation With the Future Self

“I am tensed, I am worried
I ain’t sure where the key to fix things is buried
I feel I ain’t doing good professionally
I just got dumped unceremoniously
Will I ever be happy again?
Tell me oh dear,
Since you call yourself my future self!”

She smiled and shook her head,
“My innocent present self
The things you worry about today
Won’t matter to you someday
Your worries are uncalled for dear,
You job is pretty secure.
You will rise, you will shine
You will look back and smile
You will have a loving husband
and a daughter you’d dote on
This phase just taught you to be strong and move on
And I am proud of the present you
Relax! Coz the future holds an amazing view”
