Dear Santa - from Phalgun
Dear Santa…….
Just like last year, I am writing this letter to you to ask for a Christmas present but, not for me, for my maid’s daughter, Prisha. I usually call her Di. I have felt that even though Prisha is poor, she is kind hearted and tranquil. Prisha is in eighth grade and is a very bright student at school and always secures first position in class every year. She always helps when someone is in need. As she is elder to me, she helps me with my studies and also explains everything which I find difficult to comprehend. She is non-demanding, contented and happy with what she has. Few days back, I thought to myself that I was lucky to get a present from Santa every Christmas. So this year, how about instead of getting a present for myself, I request you to give my present to her!
So, I want you to give her a ‘Yelly’ toy because whenever she plays with mine, she is super enthusiastic. Preferably, you should give her a blue coloured Yelly for it is her favourite colour. I know it’s a little chillier in Chandigarh than before, but please deliver this gift to her at her house in the village, Attawa, two streets away from my home. Santa, if you don’t mind, can you also send her a Christmas card with lots and lots of colours for that will make her delighted.
