Veiled again
Enslaved again
Precious education lost
My identity lost
My soul betossed
Fertile land ravaged, bleeds
My home plundered, pleads
Heartless men, cruel deeds
Humanity wails, atrocity exceeds
Freedom denied, reduced to shadows
Books burnt, shut are windows
Compassion dies, fanaticism remains ambrose
Hopeless, terrified; deathly despair grows
Better to end in gallows.
