Down Memory Lane

Down Memory Lane

Relaxing on the swing, swirling with closed eyes,
Chords of guitar on the background sets the mood,
Cool breeze kissing my forehead and playing with hair,
Oh! Where is the stress in this World?

The joyous moments took me down memory lane,
When evenings were effortlessly carefree,
Bonding among minds were stronger than network,
We showed our presence in laughter and chatter.

We never aimed to reach the sky or climb mountains,
Our ecstasy lied in the elated faces
Innocence of teens and wisdom of adults,
Unending debates leads to tiff and sweet miff.

Years later, we achieved the stature,
Well off financially, longing for emotions,
So wish, my pals pop up now from nowhere,
A drop from my eyes reinstate me to present.
