As soon as the drapes of both eyelashes drop
The red curtains of the stage slowly rises
An excited troupe rush along with their prop,
And bring to life some whimsical reprises.
The break of dawn arouses the deep slumber
Leaving the dreamer in a wide-eyed wonder.
At nightfall, she regains her cosy boudoir
Awaiting the next act of the repertoire.
