Amidst the chaos of their wedding, Ruhana and Vineet found themselves near their room. They could hear commotion, but they had a chance to talk in silence. It wasn't the first time, but the feeling of marrying the person you love lingered in the air. Moreover, this was the second chance they were giving each other. For Ruhana, it was her second marriage, and for Vineet, he found his true love in Ruhana. It didn’t matter to him that he found love in his forties.
"Finally, it happened just as you like it," Vineet said.
"Yes, Vineet! I just can’t believe it. You know, sometimes you cannot accept the changes until you live them. And for me, this wedding is a means to start my new life ahead."
"It’s the same for me. After you entered my life, I found my sole purpose. Thank you, Ruhana."
Ruhana smiled, her eyes filled with tears of gratitude and excitement. She knew that he had waited all his life for her, and now, what he was feeling was pure ecstasy. As they embraced each other, it marked a new beginning for their life ahead.
The next morning, Ruhana woke up as the sun's rays kissed her face. She couldn’t find Vineet beside her. Before she could call him, she found him entering the room holding two mugs of tea. It was just 7:30 AM, and they were the only ones awake in the house. They talked for a little while before getting ready for the day.
Four hours passed as they completed the ceremonies. Meanwhile, Vineet took the chance and left the house with his wife. Ruhana followed her husband’s lead, and after a forty-five-minute drive, they reached their favorite place. What surprised Ruhana was that it was a secluded area of the beach where few people visited. He led her to a rock near the sea. They sat in silence, inhaling the fragrance of the wet mud. The sound of the water touching the shore was soothing. Vineet told her that this was the place he often came to when he felt lonely and demotivated.
"You know, before confessing my love for you, I came here. This is where I realized that maybe I was waiting for you all these years," Vineet said.
"This is beautiful, Vineet. Life always gives a second chance. I am glad I didn’t let you go," Ruhana said as she reached for his hand.
Entangling their fingers, they sat staring at the ocean, pondering over the possibilities that life throws. They walked around the beach, hand in hand, and that’s when Ruhana looked at him, expressing her desire that their life be as smooth and beautiful as the moment right now.
He said nothing but embraced her in his arms, promising that he’d be by her side no matter how gray the skies were. That was a promise of togetherness until eternity.
