Write a story about a single moment that changed the course of a life.

It could be something small like a sentence spoken carelessly, a look held a second too long, a door that did not open. Or something large like a betrayal, a loss, a confession, a decision made in haste.

You may write in any genre (contemporary, speculative, romantic, dystopian, mythic) but anchor the story in emotional truth.
