Amour de soi is a natural sense of self-worth and concern for your own well-being. It is not about being better than others or seeking their approval. It is about recognising your own needs, safety and well-being without constantly comparing yourself to others.

Write a story about someone who has spent a long time believing that their worth depends on something outside themselves. Perhaps it is someone's approval. A relationship. Success. Money. Appearance. A job. A family role. Being needed.

Then something happens that makes them question that belief. What happens next is entirely up to you.

Your story can be about anything and can belong to any genre. It can be quiet or dramatic, funny or unsettling, realistic or fantastical.

But by the end, show us one moment when your character sees themselves differently. Don't explain the lesson. Let the story reveal it.
