Fate’s Foul Ways

Blurred flashbacks,  hid in sepia stacks.  Pensive, I let out a weary sigh.  Unshed tears of despair cloud my myopic eye.  I brood; "Strangers they are or a stranger am I?"  I fail to recall the bygone days.  My mind's a muddled haze.  Fate's foul ways!  *** Author's note: Many times, patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, fail to recognize their own kith and kin. It’s a sad fact that their own family and friends seem like strangers to them. Memory loss and confusion are the main symptoms of this malady.
