Fire and Snow

Tomorrow, it’d snow,
As it did last winter.
Bit by Bit the Pine limbs will muffle in milky gown,
head to toe.
And Sun above pour on them
molten gold.
Would you giggle
clutching tightly my ring finger?
I’d search you in woods
behind the river.
Last winter
I had to leave you cold, in white blanket,
when some bullets find address in your chest
turning it fire.
The venom they pour on Kashmir
burned you instead.
Now, the snow that weeps in your memory
does not melt away of my mind
Still I wander inside the dark wood
to find fire within
