Gilding the Lily

Gilding the Lily

Caressing the lilies
The jocund breeze whispers
Fragrant cajolery in the ears of the blooms.

Sun Rays sentry to the day
Splatter vibrance on fragile lilies
Swooning on their virginity.

Buds exclaimed in sardonic smiles,
“I’m, the pure waft of beauty,
Any praise is Gilding the lily!”
