Her Story

Her Story

He took her hands, in a warm cusp
Squeezing them, smilingly, said,
“May we never meet here again”
Anywhere else will do, not this hospital bed!

A warmth of kindness surrounded her lost years,
She returned his warm gaze in gratitude,
“Here again, may we never meet,”
she said, confident in her renewed attitude

They bade her goodbye and loads of luck
She whispered, waving at her doctors, caretakers,
“May we never meet here again”
Her heart was full with new family members.

Her cruel blood, never accepted this change
Her new body was disapproved, they abused,
“Here again, may we never meet,”
Her soul was tortured and body bruised!
