Home

You found me
When I was lost
Lost in a place
Dark and tepid
And in between sunrises
Your voice
Came from afar
And I came up
Gasping for breath

And for a moment
Even your light
Blazed my eyes
And I couldn’t see
That the sun
Had finally woken
And you took my hand
And led me away

My past clings to my soul
Yet you kissed my hurt
And made me stay
You found me
And I have a smile, borrowed
But I hope it’s forever someday
For I never knew
That I could be your home, love
And you could be mine
