T’was deep in the forest
Among Mother Nature’s best
Under its impenetrable canopy
Away from mankind’s odious apathy
I laid my wearied soul to rest
Creatures of varied sizes and colors
Terrestrial, arboreal, underground dwellers
Winged and four-legged
Feathered and fur-coated
Frolicked together like carefree revelers
Two gnomes led me to a hammock
Well-crafted by a master Ewok
“Rest, you’re with friends, nothing to worry
When you wake, misery would be history,”
Assured an elf-man who wore a cassock.
Beside them, under the bright blue dome
No more to seek, no need to roam
In this ethereal place
In their welcoming embrace
I knew I had found my perpetual home.
