Identity Crisis

Identity Crisis

Reflections show a sweet curvy girl,
‘Is it me? Where’s the feeling?
I wonder, ‘There’s some blunder in me?’
Teaching nuances of women being

You beat me up, make scenes, hush my voice,
You cry, say, ‘I’m a disgrace.’
‘There’s some blunder in me?’ I wonder.
Don’t understand, ‘Who’s hiding in place?’

Why am I mocked for my pants and stance?
Bosoms? I’m suffocating.
I wonder, ‘There’s some blunder in me?’
I’m ‘Me’ with men but touch is cringing.

Stifling my spirit won’t kill the man,
Yet you force me to marry.
‘There’s some blunder in me?’ I wonder.
Let the man thrive, let matters parry.
