In the name of God

In the name of God

Explosions of religious fervor
Against the lowly infidels;
To appease HIM
How cruel!

Crimson-colored limbs
Squirm in pain,
while charred bodies tremble and writhe till they can.
How cruel!

The lone wolf snarls
And hacks off the rationale
Of the blasphemer to propitiate HIM.
How cruel!

At HIS altar
You lay the blood and bones of Mankind.
I must then ask –
What a GOD is HE?
