Literary and Literally, Food

Literary and Literally, Food

I’m angry,
I’m hungry.

Diet fads’ notoriety,
Perennial calorific anxiety,
Chasing elusive satiety.

Measuring syllable and spice,
Sprinkling of Grandma’s advice,
Overdoing is but caprice,
De-clutter, let simplicity suffice.

Never imbibing, I did brood,
Consuming verses raw and crude,
It’s now that I understood,
Letting my heightened senses allude,
The poetry in my food.
