I sat on a red bench in the park
Recalling wonderful memories
Of children, my parents, my buddies.
Don’t know when a tear slipped by my eye
Observing companions capering
Hands entwined, eyes downcast, close embrace.
Am I the one who is lone, bare soul
Forgotten, Abandoned, Desolate
So bereft, So unloved, so uncared.
