Memoirs of a Mountain Girl

Memoirs of a Mountain Girl

I feel
The thrill…

As gorges unfold,
Like stories, untold,
Steep, endless, old…

The winding roads bend,
Round my rugged friend,
Some mystery, they portend,
In low clouds, godsend…

As the cool winds swirl,
Making the wild blooms twirl,
Amidst snow, white as pearl,
I find, when memories unfurl,
Inside  me, this mountain girl.
