I bent backwards
To contain these festering feelings
Like a concealed wound –
Only to come apart
Split at the seams and
My madness tumbling,
Colliding with your heart!
Your heart remembers
Yearning to embrace with love,
Acceptance and patience –
All my ragged fragments
Are being smoothed over
By your gentle hands,
I lie, assembled again!
