Nine Months Wait

Nine Months Wait

Oh, here she finally is
In an instant, she is mine
A joy cocooned in my arms
Such a delight!

As we both lay in wait
Each day a wonder
A miracle she was
That grew inside!

I imagined her tiny hand
Cupped in mine
Cozy in my arms
A snug fit, tight!

And her love a bright light
Mummy says ‘I love you’
A hundred times, dear Princess
Each night!
