Ars Poetica
This month's form is focused on the content of the poem — less about rhyme schemes, counting syllables, or refrains. Ars Poetica is the art of writing poetry about writing poetry.
When writing poetry, we think of:
- form or style
- beat and rhythm
- symmetry
- rhyme and meter
- similes and metaphors
- literary devices
- sound in poetry
- among many
However, for this event, we would like to read about a poet’s struggle or joy or any type of experience when writing poetry. Be dramatic or funny, the choice is yours, poets!
Remember
- Write a two/three-stanza Ars Poetica on the theme given considering the above-mentioned guidelines.
- Each stanza can have four or six lines.
