Philautia

Philautia

‘I’m a reject, not perfect‘ –neglect of self-love
Had an adverse effect on her, always under
The weather, she lived in a dark night with no light
In sight, bore a heavy heart drenched in misery.

A ray of light fell on her way, one fine day,
The gray air around her, disappeared, sans a sound,
She had found something new, something to value,
She felt blue no more, ‘twas time to explore herself.

Head held high, towards the sky, she was set to fly,
Bid goodbye to grim days, with a smile on her face,
She decided to erase her frown, wear a crown,
Drown in pleasure and embrace her inner treasure.
