Poetry is You

Poetry is You

Poetry is one’s self
It is a rhythm of words
That appear in the thoughts
Like a pilgrim’s prayer
To untangle the knots

Poetry is one’s self
It plays notes of the soul,
Sings with its gentle waves,
Lyrical symphony,
That every being craves

Poetry is one’s self
A plea of the heartstrings
To nurture emotion,
Conquer mortal dogmas,
Pour love in each notion

Poetry is one’s self
Half empty or half full
Pour it out or drink in
This river of raw truth
Makes you delve deep within
