Infant stage seemed a struggle,
as unaware I was,
on why they often cried.
Toddlers… ahhh they were cute then,
but the fear of them falling,
always lurked behind.
They grew up fast, not me alas…
as many times their answers
proved that I haven’t grown up yet.
Pre-teens that they are now,
a terrible phase you see,
for the parents as well as kids.
The mother in me is still,
the little infant or toddler
not ready to grow up.
Hormones play their part,
when the pre-teens outburst
and the mother is left in tears.
