Reasons Untold

Reasons Untold

I stared at my bedroom ceiling
nothing popped on my mind.
I don’t know what is this feeling,
which makes me feel empty inside.

In a flash, a question popped,
What is my purpose?
A point which made me stop.
A reaction I challenge to propose.

At times I wonder
Why do I crave like this.
I stop to think and ponder,
However this puzzle is not a breeze.

What can it be? I always ask.
Then I feel my empty soul.
Answering it is not an easy-peasy task.
The riddle must be resolved.

  1. The riddle must be resolved as life goes on with time. Love the meaning behind this poem, exquisite. Happy holidays and have a blessed Christmas. Hope to see more from you. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. It is the omnipresent rush of water which give the Este Gardens their peculiar character. In the same way Your midnight Solitary musings give you the ability to write these wonderful poems. It also reflects poetess’s honesty and innocence. Beautifully written!!

  3. A philosophical poem that fails to satisfy the readers due to the fact that the poem has many incomplete lines making the readers ponder on the meaning behind them. On the second stanza, for example, the phrase “made me stop” lacks clarity. It seems like another word or phrase is needed to make the entire stanza more explicit. Also, some words are inappropriately used like ‘popped’ and ‘crave’ and it is suggested to replace them with more suitable words. Lastly, “A reaction I propose to challenge” sounds more fitting than the original.

    Keep writing!
