Retracing Life

Retracing Life

Back to the school
The forsaken tiffin craves for
The last summer’s noodles
And cheese sandwiches.

Back to the office
The tote bag harbors a fossil
Last winter’s lip balm
Hairclip and bangles.

Back to the native home
The grandparents yearn for
The squirrels and sparrows
Under the banyan tree.

Back to the normal
World sings a song in unison
To get back the lost tune
Feel the touch sans fear.
