The moment his eyes landed on her, he felt something stir deep within. She was nestled by the window, completely absorbed in her scribbles, marking the world around with her thoughts. Saurabh, seated in the waiting area of the platform, was suddenly swept up in a feeling he couldn't quite place—a sense of wonder that seemed to bloom in his heart. As the signal announced the train's impending departure, an urgency washed over him. He longed to capture just a few more fleeting moments of her presence. But as the train picked up speed and disappeared from view, he was left standing there, feeling mix of longing and enchantment, eyes dreamy and mouth slightly agape, contemplating the unexpected connection he felt.

**Two Years Later**
The rain fell gently, saturating the air with the familiar, comforting scent of wood smoke and damp earth. It was a cosy aroma that enveloped the room, where laughter resonated, filling the space with warmth and joy. Saurabh sat quietly at his table, but his gaze was drawn to a lively group nearby. There, amidst the laughter, was the girl who had been a constant presence in his thoughts, haunting him with her memory.

As he stood to approach her, he noticed a man at her side, holding a bouquet of vibrant red roses and a ring. Time seemed to stand still as the man knelt on one knee, his voice steady yet filled with emotion. "Soumya, I love you, will you be mine?" 

Saurabh's heart sank as he watched Soumya's eyes glisten with tears of joy as she accepted the proposal. In that moment, it felt as if something precious had shattered within him. Overcome by grief and unspoken feelings, he turned away from the happiness surrounding him and stepped out of the café, the memories and unfulfilled longing echoing in his mind as he walked away without looking back.

Saurabh had been under immense pressure from his parents to settle down for some time. The faint hope of finding that special someone had led him to turn down various proposals they presented. Yet, as that hope faded, he resolved to embrace new beginnings and see where life might lead him.
At a family function, Saurabh met Sakshi, a lovely and simple girl with striking big brown eyes and long hair cascading down her back. He couldn't help but be drawn to her warmth, and it turned out the feeling was mutual. They connected over shared experiences and visions for the future, dating for three wonderful months before deciding to get engaged.

On the day of their engagement, however, Saurabh was met with a surprise. Sakshi introduced him to her cousin and best friend, Soumya. The revelation caught Saurabh off guard, leaving him momentarily stunned. It took him a moment to process this new development, balancing his emotions between excitement and confusion as he navigated the complexities of this new chapter in his life. Sakshi also said, " Soumya will stay with me for a month."
During this time, Saurabh spent several meaningful moments getting to know Sakshi and Soumya better. On a weekend getaway, an unfortunate incident occurred when Sakshi sprained her ankle and was in significant pain. They promptly took her to the hospital, and afterwards, they decided it was best to return home so Sakshi could rest. Unfortunately, Soumya seemed quite frustrated throughout the journey, even teasing Sakshi for what she perceived as ruining their trip. This left Sakshi feeling guilty, and she sincerely apologised to Saurabh; however, she couldn’t stand seeing his friend in distress and gently asked Soumya to reconsider her words and apologise as well.

In another situation, both Sakshi and Soumya had their eyes on the same dress, but unfortunately, only one piece was available. Soumya boldly insisted that Sakshi should let it go. Instead of responding with anger, Sakshi merely smiled and walked away gracefully. At that moment, Saurabh felt a warmth in his heart for Sakshi, appreciating her poise and the kindness that she exuded.

It became clear that Soumya and Sakshi had very contrasting personalities. Soumya was outspoken and quite the chatterbox, often overlooking the feelings of others, which could sometimes come off as self-centred. Meanwhile, Saurabh recognised that he was incredibly fortunate to have met someone like Sakshi—kind, compassionate, and genuinely beautiful inside and out. While he viewed Soumya as only a fleeting infatuation, it was Sakshi who truly captured his admiration and heart.
