The New Girl in the City

With a pocket full of dreams,
And a bag of hopes,
The new girl in the city
Breathed the fresh air

Mesmerizing chilly weather,
The lukewarm morning beam,
And the ever running traffic
Enticed her for a long time affair

Smart work made her climb the ladder in a gleam
She kept learning and moving
As if water flowing with the stream
The city had become her new nest, though small and bitty

It  gave her wings to soar high and enjoy Life’s fair
For it always rewarded the adaptive and the witty
