The Old Year

The Old Year

I don’t want the old year to end so fast
So many lessons yet to be learnt
But the month of December all ready to cast
Away the miseries, hardships to be burnt.

The new year promising
and refreshing
but I want to
push it away.

I want to still hold on to memories
The togetherness and the cheerfulness
The good times and the closeness it bought
I don’t want the old year to end so fast.
