A Soulmate’s Winter Song

A Soulmate’s Winter Song

The leaves have withered; I may fail to wake up to a tomorrow,
But please don’t shed tears vapidly,
Reminisce all the fragrant days we’ve lived sans sorrow,
In framed portraits I shall loom fondly.

My inert body may fail to respond to your impassioned plea,
But hear me with the clinking wind chime…
All memories emanating from the past moments motley
Shall embrace you in ways sublime.

With you I’ve seen seasons several but now it’s time,
Don’t you dwell in melancholy,
Our eternal love shall forever sing dulcet songs that rhyme,
Once we meet in the realm heavenly.
