The Wind’s Lament

My love,
shroud your eyes and
listen to the wind as
it whistles in the silent woods
at night.

with an ear cocked
to the rustle, the swish,
the swoosh as like a lover it

Come feel
it’s yearning for
the nighttide as it moans
melancholily yowling in
the woods.
