A woman on the railway line,
Picking trash in fear,
Honk! Honk! Went the engine,
Her ears did not hear.
Down came the engine,
Crushing her, oh dear!
Off chugged the engine,
Her little ones came near.
Come home Ma, they cried,
In melancholy drear.
The footsteps hurried by,
Not stopping, though they cared.
