Just like the moon playing hide and seek with the  clouds
You play with my emotions, you take me for granted,
Unpredictable my life has become, 
Broken to pieces, it takes time for me to heal,
Unable to leave, for society's sake, I carry on,
With the best smile on my face, I face the day,
Yet I feel empty, I feel like a prey, scared of the predator,
Protection I have to give to my children, sleepless nights I endure,
When I stand up for myself, I can't stand up for you too,
A single thread holds us together,  maybe it is love,
Maybe it is the bond of yesteryears,
My silent tears, I hide, when they slip out, I turn my face away,
I feel at a loss, I am unable to find myself,
Where am I now, who am I now,
Questions I don't want answers anymore.
