A Rendezvous so Dear
I look at her eyes: love and care shine through,
A warm smile curves up slight.
Aged and greyed, yet, strong, I notice him too;
His hairs, silvery white.
I run up to them, laughter ringing through;
Hug them both in delight.
Happily we talk, with the sky in view;
It paints itself twilight.
I chomp off to glory, snacks dished out;
Sweet as both of them.
I rest on her lap; their blessings accrue,
Grandparents bid goodnight.
As the dark descends,
I wake up on cue,
Two big stars twinkle bright.
