Lakshmi CV's Bebey's Day Out and Other Stories is a treat. With a myriad of themes and emotions the book promises an entertaining collection.

Ration the Rice stood out for me. The paranormal temprament of the story along with its rich plot and intriguing characters makes it a stand out. Another story Double the Seven-Year Itch underscores the importance of communication in relationships, highlighting how suspicion often stems from self-doubt. It is a beautiful character study and makes one reflect on how often we take our relationships for granted. On another note You Get My Point is also a study on spousal relationships and it manages to deliver its message with a sharp, witty edge.

The Future is Here was another entertaining story where the author imagines smart homes and the changes they bring to our daily lives. Though I felt that it needed a bit more length to fully explore its intriguing concept.

What I loved most about this book is the diversity in presentation, voice, and characters. Lakshmi CV's witty and vivid language ensures that each story feels fresh and engaging. Whether it's the humorous twists, surprising endings, or the poignant reflections, there's something for everyone in this collection.

Bebey's Day Out and Other Stories is one of the best short story collections I've read this year. It is thoroughly enjoyableand can be your Sunday read to relax and entertain you. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys short stories and anthologies. Lakshmi CV has crafted a wonderfully diverse world that promises to entertain and provoke thought.

Happy reading!
