Broken Nest

Little chicks filled their tiny nest with their impatient sweet clamour.

Woven dextrously by the mother sparrow while the father helped,

They kept their beaks open demanding, devouring food ravenously,

An endless struggle for both parents,

To feed tiny chicks,

Till they

 Grow.

But alas! The malicious forces of Nature raised their ugly head.

Disastrous winds pounding with enormous force pillaged woods once verdure,

Fierce downpour uprooted the trees, jeopardised existence therein,

Dusty winds shook the branches treacherously,

Little chicks lay sprawled,

On earth,

Dead.
