The  lapwings’ screeches rent the village skies 

Sleepy spiders scrambled out, scurried 

Deserting shimmering gossamer gauze, 

Eldritch screeches continued to taunt 

Tiny creatures in the grassy meadow.

Wild owls shrugged off sleep, at length to peep.

Phosphorescent bugs rose in frenzy 

Yellow Tails leapt towards crisp blue heavens

Sluggish  toads abandoned shallow bogs,

Seized by reptilian jaws, Death alights!
