Civilisational Identity

Why are we ashamed of our rituals, culture and roots?

Why are we not able to shrug off our colonial consciousness?

Why do we look down on our civilisational greatness?

Why do we think we are inferior in our own costumes?

We think lowly about gurukulams and highly about high schools

Our blames and censure on our motherland seem endless

The struggles of our freedom fighters now look worthless

For we think going to foreign countries brings us fortunes.

Taking our traditions ahead is not shame but pride

A change in the mindset is the need of the hour

Be inspired by the past and pass on the torch

We don’t need to be ashamed, we don’t need to hide

The tag longest living civilisation is a super power

All we need to do is to get our nation ready for its relaunch
