Despair

Fear clogs her mind, firmly pushing her into an abyss, darker,
She grapples with the tentacles of despair that grip her,
She resists but fails, and her senses give in,
Bound in the cage of depression,
Her body is numb,
She lays,
Helpless.

Anxious, she speaks feebly, her voice cracks, quivering in deep pain,
Her eyes weep, silent tears alluding to sagas of misery,
Grief constricts her powers and her heartaches, longing for,
Thoughts drift, thinking of joyful junctures,
Stress relieves briefly, now,
Feels lonely,
Cries.
