Dying Love

Memories etched deep, I weep, unable to sleep
Peep in my heart, see the pain, am going insane.
Like the rain, tears flowing down my cheek, feeling low
Writing this note with shaky hand, and lump in throat.

Your name engraved, gifts you gave, will all go to grave,
You will crave for me, I know, once I go away.
So if your love is true, come back, will wait for you,
Let’s start anew, forgive each other, and relive.

It’s your turn; hope you return and not downturn
Stern, don’t be, try to ameliorate and not hate.
Or celebrate my departure and your future,
Better you move on, your joy I will not destroy.
