Endurance

The tubes that hung from every part of her body fragile,

Were stuck to her wrinkled skin with their sharp edges.

But she showed no resentment nor did she groan,

Her face looked calm as always was,

Enduring with utmost fortitude,

The pain,

Sigh!

Helplessly I wait with my eyes fixed on mother's undulating chest,

The heartbeat threatening to cease any minute any moment now.

God, please accept the waning soul into your folds,

Relieve the pains giving some solace,

Her ever enchanting smile,

I shall

Cherish.
