Harike Wetland in Winter

You have covered the sky, of Harike wetland,  Alighting here after a journey of long long span  Glad that such amazing guests have come nigh, O, migratory birds, you have covered the sky,  A vast expanse of water, so lonely and sad, Surrounded by water Lily, with algae clad, Migratory birds find the place hospitable, warmer,  With raucous cries cover a vast expanse of water, Enchanting is the sight as they leave frozen lakes,  A long arduous flight each brave bird undertakes, Cranes, teals, flamingos and some birds unidentified, They land here in thousands, enchanting is the sight.
